I'm doing my brakes shortly on my VZ 186000 kms. ( rotors, pads, callipers recon)
I've never had to touch the hubs. Was wondering if I should just do them and be done with it at the same time, if 186k is past expected life span?

If so, what's a good brand of aftermarket or should I go to a stealership?

Nah. 186 isn't high enough kms to worry about bearings yet I'd think. My VE has only had 1 rear bearing done, fronts still original at 290,000.

You should get plenty of warning before you need to replace them. The best are OEM, which may just mean a trip to the wreckers if replacing a front one.

That's early. Did this car do a lot of City driving?

When the bearings start to fail it will happen really gradually and you'll have heaps of warning (like a couple thousand km's) before they're at a point where you possibly can't drive on them. It's suuuuuper rare for them to fail catastrophically/suddenly without warning, and it's usually because of something else that they do.
