Can anyone recommend a good substitute for the stock Bridgestones that come with this car? I'm happy with them, but I thought I'd check if there's anything else worth looking at before I spring for another set.

I'm not looking for any sort of extra performance or anything in particular. Just as long as they aren't necessarily "worse" than what the car comes with.

Probably in this order (best to worst)

Pirelli P Zero
Goodyear Eagle F1 Astmmetric 2
Kumho KU39
Falken 453

I currently have Falken 453's. I would have got Asymmetric 2's but they don't come in 19 245 40 :(
Next time I will get P Zero's or if I can't justify the $$$ I'll get Ku39's

On LS1 there is a guy that has had Falken 453's and Kumho Ku39's and the 39's last longer and have better grip.

After doing a lot of tyre research months ago, I found that there are lots of people with good and bad reports on every brand of tyre. Don't be swayed by only a few good or bad reports... try to find a trend (statistical significance)

Thanks guys. Will have a read about all of these asap. Just want to see what's worth considering that's cheaper. My current quote is $380 ea fitted for the standard ones.....and seeing as I've gotten 86,000kms out of them I think it's an alright price (yeah I wasn't paying attention to tyre wear.....)

Yeah, I've never really paid attention to these sorts of things. It's just that after I got a puncture in one of them, I noticed how bad they were and I needed a spare anyway so....
