Door Stop - Door Stay Grinding

Not sure what it's called but every time I open the door the door stay/door check GRINDS . Greasing it does not seem to make it any quieter.

I've also noticed that the exterior door handle does not release until the handle is all the way up. I suspect the door handle might be going bad. Not sure if it's related to the door stay or not.

I changed the door gasket

Going to have to pull off the door panel/card and have a peek.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Probably due to having the check Link replaced to solve that issue.

I'd also say that the adjustable plastic cone the is on your door handle actuator rod needs to be screwed downwards.

Yep, and you can grab and use a passenger side check strap, which won't be as worn out as a driver's side one.

They will work just the same but one will be upside down.
