Hi guys
Couple of days ago my drivers door on my vz wouldn't open from inside nor the outside, getting frustrated from going through the passenger side just to get to the drivers seat.I removed the brown plastic cover and somehow found the latch to pop open the door,I am assuming that the wire to open the door is either broken or something else. When i try and use the handle nothing, door won't open.plz help cheers.

You have door open?
How did you get into the inside of the door?

Once the door card is off, remove the lock assembly.
Get another from the wreckers.

Test continuity of the loom with a multimeter.

You access the loom plug via the outside. Undo the loom cover/seal into the body of the car. Pull out a bit and unplug.

Use the multimeter set to “make the noise” and test each wire.

The one over the lock assembly?

I am still confused how you got to that with the door closed.

Trying to add a file but saying it's to big to process. The brown plastic cover has to do with the actuator.
Resize the photo. Crop out any large areas of white to reduce file size

I've come across this before you need to replace the lock mechanism as it would have a worn tab, it won't be an issue with the actuator
