drivers door lock problem.

hey all,
just installed a new head unit. and now ive noticed that my door wont lock, the lock nob on the door is stiff and wont even push down. just wondering if it could have been caused by anything i did whilst putting the head unit in :S. any help would be great

Are you trying to do it with the door open? Unless the door lock is in the closed position the button wont move, safety mechanism so you dont lock yourself out. Otherwise make sure that the door handles have returned to there normal positions, ie: no excess slack in both inner and outer handles, and handles not rideing,[ no slack] the rod from the outer handle to the lock ass can jump out sideways and hold the lock mecanism slightly open.
