both of them were, but my dads parents where still Italian Citizens when he was born so i could get dual Citizenship.

No. You renounce your citizenship when you become a citizen of another country, therefore if your Grandfather or Father have become Australian citizens during a citizenship ceremony then you will not be able to have dual citizenship.
