G'day gents..

Am putting my bitch up on a dyno next week to decide whether or not our relationship will continue. I've told her that if she doesn't make 150rwkw we're breaking up.

What sort of figures have those of you who've placed their 304s on a dyno ended up with?

My bitch is an auto 304, with a full 2.5" exhaust including decent tri-y headers with long secondaries, tiny, tiny cat, OTR CAI and a 3.45 LSD.

What do you lot reckon: will the relationship continue or should I prepare for a break-up?

Prepare for a breakup depending on if the dyno is happy or not.

I only made 160rwkw in my old 304 pacemaker try-y headers, twin cat conversion and single 3" system, 70mm throttle body, ditched the clutch fan for thermos so less drag on the engine, gilmer kit and a custom tune and an engine sub 180,000km and probably more i cant remember, it was like 5-6 years ago now :p

My old 304 with a performance cam only made 163 rwkw, as dirbatua said it depends on the dyno if u put it on 2 different dynos on the same day you would get 2 different power figures, if u really want more kws at the wheels sell it and buy a later LS powered commy or u could go down th route of pulling your motor out and rebuilding it with all the good bits, stroker etc

I'm guessing around 145, depending on how generous the dyno is

Prepare for breakup...

Atleast get another cat for it...with twin cat cars you notice more low down torque & they sound better.

The bitch only pulled 122rwkw. Am quite disappointed with her and will probably ditch her in the near future!

Do these figures look right?
