Ok, just having a word to another forum member who shall remain nameless just incase he's right :yeah: although I'm sure it will be known when he reads this thread.

What model including HSV had the very first 5.7L? I have found another site on the net which I disagree completely.

Fire away when your ready.

Cheers
Darren

Pretty much, the way this came around, was talking about the VR Clubsport and whether it came out in both the 5.0 and 5.7L V8's or not.

I'm going to go run and hide in my little corner now

I stand corrected though and admit I'm wrong. It's takes a bigger man to admit he's wrong or proven wrong in this case doesn't it?

Another question, regarding a standard VR Calais.

IS the Differential a Limited Slip or not?

Something just caught my attention and told me it was, but im not sure.

yep, only the GTS/R VR came with the 5.0L stroked to 5.7L,,, there was only 400 made.
The first GEN 3 5.7 was VT series 2
Incorrect, as I above said the 5.7lt first came out in the senator.
As taken from HSV.com.au:
"Engines included an upgraded 185kW V8 and after May 1994, the Senator could be ordered with the 215i stroker powerplant"
