ECOTEC rebuild

Does any one know how much a ECOTEC short motor costs and where from have had a quote of $1500 Block crank and pistons only this sounds a bit dear to me. Also how far can you go with heads trying to do a budget rebuild but still get more neddys any ideas would be appreciated.

Are standard injectors OK on modified motor

hey there,
not 100% sure of cost as have only rebuilt not replaced ecotec motors. sounds a bit much to me for just a bottom end though.
as for injectors depends on how modified your planning on going.
