Hi, first of all, great forum, the information here is invaluable.

I picked up a Vy S for a good price the other week and noticed it was just a little rough on idle, nothing to worry about though.

Today it got worse, running very lumpy both in idle and at under 2k revs it's practically shuddering driving down the road. I'm thinking of checking the plugs and the exhaust manifold. Any opinions would be really welcome.

Apart from this new problem i'm loving the car.

check to see if it has a vacuum leak at the front of inlet manifold, there is a little rubber hose joiner that they suck in, causing the vehicle to run rough.

Well I took the car to my trusty Repco mechanic. They checked the leads, then the coils, then a vaccum hose. Turns out it was a dead fuel injector. They are replacing it and cleaning the rest for a very fair price and I can be a happy camper again. :)
