probably just gummed up spray some electronics contact cleaner in and work the switch.

Yes. I’m not selling them though. They are for my Calais. These guys sell them for series 2. There are not really any differences other than button configuration. Also check the features like nav etc.
If you had the same problem as me did the new set of buttons end up fixing them ?

The button seems to work though, it just changes radio stations instead of registering with the trip computer
they would be different micro switches though? the radio change is the scrolling while the trip computer is a press therefore a different switch, so it could be a dud switch

Are there any tutorials on how to change the switches on a ve or can anyone tell me the best way to ?

Just need the airbag off as far as I know.
I'm yet to tackle this job and it stares me in the face everytime I use the car.

Doesn't show the removal of the airbag, but everything after.

The removal technique for the airbag:

*** Remember the golden rule of removing a steering wheel on any car. Never remove the nut completely and then remove the steering wheel. You may very well ruin your beautiful face, or if you are ugly, you might make some improvements.

*** Yes disconnect the battery. I switch on the headlights and the ignition to drain residual current. Also then remove any fuses relating to brakes, ABS and Airbags.
