ex promotional or earliest production VT

Hey guys, just bought a early built vt calais august 97. It's originally been purchased as a GMH car in first owner manual. I'm wondering if it's been used as a promotional car with Wheels or Motor magazines. Has anyone got any old magazines showing a White Calais with Victoria rego. I'll get the plates it originally had. Might be nothing just curious.

For decades the latest Australian car models have all been released in August, so probably not special, just a first month produced car. That's kind of contradictory, isn't it. Yeah, the fact the VT was the Commodore that totally annihilated the Falcon in sales like no other Holden I would say an actual first month car would be pretty cool. Sadly, it probably won't be worth much more than any other VT.

Yeah im not expecting it to be worth any more than any other VT. The fact Holden kept the car in its ownership for 2 years/and serviced it for 20000klms had me curious. Could be nothing thou. Ill keep and eye out on regos on press cars in the magazines and see if matchs. I also understand Holden and Ford keep cars in there internal pool (like this car which definitly has) for a short time which then can be bought by staff cheaper.

Don't know how Holden operated back then, but it may have been a service loan car or perhaps otherwise used Company car
