Exhaust terminology

i think a recommended twin system for a standard V6 would be twin 2.25". Twin 2.5" would be massive overkill and a loss of performance for sure. Even with a twin 2.25", headers would make it even better.

ah cheers nicko.. both sound pretty good, i'm thinking of going with a single system 2.5", on a budget.. i'll be able to put extractors on in the future right?

also will my future gas conversion be affected by a new exhaust? or vice versa?

Both clips are of my car, the take off video is after about 30,000kms with the exhaust on and the 2nd video is just after it was fitted.

Yes you can chuck extractors on it later and the gas conversion wont need a different exhaust

just 2.5" from the cat and a muffler.. actually sounds like a mates v8 wh statesman (kinda lol).. but not as loud.. so i'm pleased..

the to do list:

1. Tip (got a black pipe looks pretty ace :S..)
2. High flow cat
3. Rims
4. Extractors
5. Fix up body work (stupid bastard punched my car)

Hi Nick how did the exhaust mod effect your, low end - top end performance was there any difference, often opening up the exhaust can change the powerband (for want of a better term)

I don't think the twin systems will kill a V6 off. The Raptor guys had a twin hsv system fitted to their project car, Went great.
