the bigger the pipe the cooler the gases will get due to expansion. bvelocity and so on.
2 1/2 is better for highway driving (hgiher speeds) or higher rpm due to flow of gases and so forth.
if you want it for lower down 2 1/4 is better for up to about 90kph and lower rpm (which i would say you would be doing)

2 1/4 is also the stock system size.

hoepfully once the rest of my system arrives i can comment more on it.
it will be a 2 1/4 stock system with HM Headers up front (best for 0-4000rpm ive researched)
this will increase low end torque. (HP etc is a magical figure...)
it should also be extremely quite thus no unwanted attention =P

i mean how many people really drive their cars at the high end of the rev range all the time?
although as said NAAF should give you great advice.
he definately did for me and helped out with what i needed for my application.

Your driving is whats eating the fuel lol
I have kept the original piping but replaced the rear muffler with a coby and the centre muffler with a Directional coby, It has a baffle at one end and glass 2/3 of the rest. Its loud enough to hear in the cabin and sound alright. tested it at 87db but that number is climbing as the coby breaks in.

Imo its a good setup for stock motor because its small diameter but no restricting mufflers so it flows well.

Oh yeh I have no cat, but thats coz im from New zealand lol

flame suit on
