Factory Sunroof

Got my new G8,
Had it for a few days now. Pretty amazing car all round.

I was wondering how I can get the factory sunroof to stay open when I turn the car off.

When you turn ignition off, you will hear a beep. If you press one of the sunroof buttons after the beep but before the roof closes, it will stay open. Thats whats in my user manual.

Just to clarify, on my VE Calais with hollandia 700 roof.

Mine is a series 1 and has a dial that turns, I'll try it out and see what happens.

After the Sunroof closes turn the key so that the radio is on and turn the dial to open the roof.

It still closes once you take the key out a second time but I found that Longman's advice worked with the dial. (No beep though)

Hi mate, i have a Series 1 with factory sunroof..

1. have sunroof on setting you want
2. turn off car (radio may be on still but probably because you haven't opened door)
3. turn dial to ANY other setting (if the sunroof moves it still has power and you haven't turned car off, if it doesn't move you should be good)
4. wait a good 5 seconds, roof should stay open.

If you have roof open when you turn off ignition , within a couple of seconds push sunroof dial upwards (dial will push into housing slightly &spring back out) roof will stay in current position when you leave car
