Hi Dudes ( and Dudettes)

Hope one of you technical people can help me out. I was speaking to a mechanic the other day, and he told me that the LSD diff from a late model falcon would fit my VN.

IS THIS TRUE or was he pulling my plonker ?

Borg Warner 28 spline I think the VN has.

what does the Falcon have?

either way they are notoriously hard to obtain second hand from wreckers

...a late model Falcon?? how late?

A falcon borg warner LSD (all the way from XF to EL) will bolt straight into a VN providing the falcon is not a 2.92 ratio. Aslong as it is a 3.23 ratio or lower ratio (remember the higher the number the lower the ratio...) you will have no dramas. The 2.92 ratio Falcon borg warner has a different offset centre, which is a pain because as far as i know all fairlanes are LSD but they are 2.92 ratio which cant be used!

And in the IRS lsd's which do have a offset centre (but who knows which models run this, because I don't) you can use the offset side from the fairlane to make a cheap LSD

Fairly sure you can.

Where you located, I might have what you need floating around in the garage.
