False starts.

G'day, in the morning when i start the car it barely runs, or seems like it's just winding over on the starter & not firing on all cylinders.

Turn the key off, restart & it runs sweet.

Any suggestions?

Alloytec in our '06 Calais.

have you tried lookin for code errors?, mine comes up with immobilizer fail at times turn key off and on again comes up ok, maybe it happens to us all.

On the second start it always comes up as Systems check OK.

Fuel pressure not holding??

I had thought that. But if i turn the key on & prime the system it should eliminate that.

True, but if you get a friend to turn the key while you are under the car, can you hear it prime up after sitting for a few hours?? Or be a bit back yard and disconnect the fuel filter or open the cap on the fuel rail and depress the valve before the first start and see if you have pressure built up.
