I'm with Smitty - Brougham ftw!

That aside - always liked the HJ/X/Z Caprice.

My grandfather had the very first model of the Statesman that was ever released (can't remember the exact year model), i've seen it in photo's and definitely looked like one ripper of a vehicle for its time.

I had a HQ Statesman and wish I still had it, it was wonderful to cruise around in. I also had a 68 Brougham at one stage, had a 327 and Powerglide in it, 8" on the back 7" on the front, bars, springs and shocks to make it handle like it was on rails, full custom paint with all metal flares all around and full black velvet interior and a sound system that disturbed people from a couple of blocks away. How I wish I still had that old girl, they are asking around $40,000 these days for one in fairly stock condition on line. :-(
