Even if they not leaking they are stuffed regardless as shocks don't last 8 years or more if they are still the oem ones:eek:

FE2 isn't that much lower just a bit more stiffer than the standard suspension maybe 1" lower

I allways thought my car had FE2, had a look the other day and its STD :( Its got a fair ammount of roll to it when entering a corner pretty tightly with some speed so i was sus all along. Expensive to install a FE2 setup or any aftermarket ones reccommended?

Mine has FE2 fitted after it left the factory so there is no plate on it. Take it to Pedders for a 28 point check, they will let you know exactly what is unde your car and what needs to be replaced. Well worth the $14.

The only problem i have with taking my car to a Pedders is the fat that there are none here in NZ :yeah:

Im taking it into my local garage on Monday and depending on what is found is to what i will need to get done to make things running smoothly again.

If FE2 was fitted pre-original sale it should be plated...

And FE2 doesn't count as lowered, it is only 1-2cm's lower than standard. Hugs your ass to the ground though, VERY rough ride, very firm and harsh, but you could slalom all week long with no issues... rough on bumps and ruts, but at least you know your stock shocks aren't having to take the pounding. :)

get a suspension specialist to check it out and tell you if it's FE2 or not... If it isn't then $1500, get koni adjustables with big sway bay, get the rigid, non rolling ride, but with nice soft comfort... :)

if you have FE2 and it's all good, stick with it, should be able to flog hell out of it for yonks... :)
