get a 5-speed VN/VP.. even a 5-speed VL. both will be more than quick enough for what you need from a first car. You'd be able to get a better VL for 3 grand than a VN though i'd say. good luck :)[/QUOTE

hey thanks, but unfortunately i cant drive a manual car yet :(, im planning to get lessons soon as my family does not have a manula car i can learn in.

Holden VL

Hey, ive got the same problem :p turning 18 in August and DEFINETLY looking for a VL. Either being VL-Turbo in auto, or a straight VL in Manual as i can drive manual just fine and i dont mind have a auto if its Turbo.

What would be the best recomondation and what prices would i be looking at?
Haha, another question, is a VLT even legal for a Victorian P Plater?

Cheers bro
(Nick go the VL and we cruise haha)

personally i wouldn't touch VN-VS. no offence to anyone who has one but i think they are ugly crap IMO. Get a nice VL Berlina, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah once you learn how to drive a manual, get a 5 Speed VL.

After driving one, you wont go near a Auto. (Unless for obvious reasons:D )

RB26DETT: My mate bought a VS for $2000, but it blew up a couple of days after he had it and he had to replace the gearbox. It's good now, but you can tell he's spent alot of money on it.
