Yeah same with me. I had a quick look at it but all I could see was the carpet would need to come up to get under it.
Is there a proper way to do it?

remove the scuff panels usually allows enough room to get your hand in underneath to release them.

How do you remove the scuff panels? Shame it doesn't just screw out!

the floor matt screw, should just unscrew out of the carpet. use needle nose pliers or something to get it out.

Also the one I need to remove is the opposite side of the scuff plate
