I'm surprised they need 360 sensors really, but the Japanese tend to overdo things just a bit..
Even if it wasn't used as anti theft, it would be better than identity keys or whatever they call em. effing useless if i drive to the pub and she drives home with the same key. duh.

I still don't see the point. If someone wants to steal your car, they'll steal your car. It's as pointless as those push start buttons in cars, what, is it too hard to turn the key?

I can see how this technology would work...not....remember some years ago, a group of car thieves were reversing sling trucks up the the rear end of cars, slipping J hooks around the diff and taking off with the cars being pulled backwards, the steering locks made it easier for them, because the front wheels tracked straight just like a trailer.

360 sensors rendered absolutely useless.

What if a owner that has these seats wants to sell the car? Or someone else needs to drive it?

I hear that there will be an even more advanced model for the passenger seat that can report back to the driver via a lcd screen installed in the cluster! If your a female it will tell you how well hung the male passenger is and if your a male it will tell you (well you can work that one out)
