Got the same problem with both my front seat slanting inwards. I bought replacements from wreckers but guess what? Same thing.:bang:

Ive also noticed this problem with my drivers seat and apart from looking off I think its making driving it harder because of the leaning to the centre. Might have to get in there and try to put a bit of pressure on it to level things out. Or take the seat out and work on the mounts/rails with something.

It really is an easy fix - done all 3 of my VN's.

Just take the seat out and bend the front mount bar back to the flat position.

Takes no more than 1/2 hour to fix. No pulling the seat apart - cloth or foam. Just seat out and bend the bar back flat.

would like to have a go @ this but im not sure what im supposed to be bending up? (meaning the front mount bar what does it look like?) can i do it by hand or does it need to be hit with a hammer?

I know the bit that 88GreenVN is talking about. It's where the 'front inside' bolt goes through to mount the rail into the floor. The other three bolts go through a large chunk of metal on the rails that are about 2cm deep. But this particular one is only a few millimetres deep and bends quite easily. Pull the seat out and see the drawing 88greenvn posted above and you'll see what he means. Just remember for the passenger seat its the mount at the front on the right. For the drivers seat it's the mount front left. I'll try this myself one day when I have time.

...and all this time thinking it was the actual seat frame that was the problem.

hahahaha. Thats so funny, my stato was previously owned by a very big boy and is on a slant that is even noticable when you're sitting in it. feel a little bit silly now because it was only the other week that I was in the back seat kicking the sh!t out of the drivers seat trying to get the thing straight again. didn't work of course. lol
