ITEM: For sale is a complete factory Holden 5 speed gearbox conversion for early commodores. Before anyone questions it, yes the VH and VK (possibly the VC) could be bought with a 5 speed. It is a Borg Warner M76 5 speed with approx 135,000km. For the first 115,000km it was owned by an old bloke in Granville who'd owned it since new, then I bought it 2 years ago and have used it more or less daily since then. It still shifts fantastically (especially compared to the bucket-o'-spanners m20/m21) and all synchros are intact (dad had one new in '82 that had the synchros go at 40,000 and 80,000km). Comes with a NOS Holden 5 speed knob.
The thrust bearing is still ok, it doesn't leak oil at all (fill with the current dexron rather than manual gear oil according to Holden specs), comes with shifter, clutch fork, speedo cable and gear, clutch cable, black motor flywheel, clutch plate (probably due for replacement), pressure plate, manual 6cyl pedal box, spigot bush to suit, bellhousing, all crossmembers/mounts, tailshaft yoke and anything else required for it to bolt into a car. More than happy to get extra pics of any other components if required.

CONDITION: Slightly under 135,000km, but quite clean as you can see in the pics and still excellent to drive. Only swapping for a stronger celica box
