The compartment should fit a VZ. And yes, its a stock alternator

As for the controls, nah only VZ light up I believe!

Is the tow bar loom compatible with VYII Calais factory reversing sensors?

It was removed from a VY Calais series 1. No issue with sensors. VY 2 calais bar was put on the series 1 and the sensors work fine.

The loom is on the LHS of the car inside the boot near the headlining for the sensors, while the tow bar loom sits to the RHS.
