500kms from a tank. Did 700 when I drove to sydney though, even with the lead foot. Not that I um, broke the law or anything.

I used to have a VX and nearly attained 800kms hwy driving. In the VT it won't be as good but something in the range of a little over 700 would not be impossible. If tuned right.

I've only ever bothered to check the litres per 100klms on the dash and cruising seems to sit on 9.7ltrs per 100klms and thats with the cruise control on and not planting the foot too often.

Travelled back to sydney today from Griffith. Nearly 600k's. The trip meter showed by the end of the trip I'd averaged 9L/100k's. Thats with a Supercharged V6. A long trip with a standard VS Ecotec I could get 8L/100k's. I find the Supercharged 6's do use a fair bit more fuel in the city than an ecotec. In the city I'm getting around 16L/100k's. Big difference between city and Highway driving.

Three questios...
How big is your fuel tank?
Is yours a 5 or 6 speed manual?
What does your tacho sit on when cruising at 100km/h?
