Hey everyone,

I’ve seen a few threads on this although I think mines a bit different to the others

It’s been running perfect for the last 3 or 4 years, lately the error message constantly beeps on and off. The fuel gauge fluctuates but the car still runs.
Petrol sender voltage runs at around 2.22v
Petrol sender resistance runs at about 175-185 ohms at start
Is there any way to diagnose the problem further?
Also if I can disable the speaker in the dash as the beeping is annoying to say the least

Thanks in advance for any advice

The easiest way to fix the beeping,
Is to fix the fault, and replace the tank/sender unit.
Source a replacement tank unit,
Make sure you have approx 1/8 tank of fuel left,
Any more the tank will be heavy.
Lower the tank,
Clean the top of the tank unit area,
MARK the pipes and connector/s,
Disconnect them carefully,
Remove the old unit Carefully so not the drop any crap in the tank,
Install the replacement unit,
Re-fit pipes and connector/S correctly,
And then fill the tank, and get it recalibrated.

Sounds very similar to what my wife's car was doing last week.
Press MODE for noise to stop and just leave a symbol on the dash (not sure how long it goes if you do nothing).
I replaced a dead DFI module, and then filled the tank to the top and it may have come right. I'm tracking progress as we go through fuel.
