I have two black wires a cream color wire and a purple color wire I assumed the two black wires were negative and positive the purple wire was earth that would make the cream color for the fuel gage how ever the purple wire is reading the first black wires is reading 0.05v the second wire with is cream is reading 5.42 the third wire the purple is reading 13.44v and the fourth black wires is reading of 0.43v

Two black wires are ground, purple is fuel pump positive, and cream is fuel gauge
