went to check codes, it sparked when i went to do it so i stopped it and tried to start my car. Car now wont start or even turn over?

Id say youve bridged the wrong pins. You need to bridge pins 5 and 6 on the top row of pins. The layout of the pins is- Pin 1 is on the top row on the far left, pin 8 is on the far right of the top row. Pin 9 is on the bottom row to the far left, pin 16 is on the bottom row on the far right. You just need to count along to top row from pin 1 to find pins 5 and 6.

If you are going to do this Job do it once and do it right You can pick a genuine GM full assembly with O ring gasket for as little as $160. Search around as i had one dealer fobbing them for $388
Repco have the fuel line removal tool for about $20 squeezing the line with pliers only damages them.

u dont need a tool to remove the pipes, just push the pipe in and hold the two little grip pads on each side ( u will see the grip pads stop but the surround will push a little further ) and then pull out and off they will come...
