Hey guys,
My vu has a sicky lifter. i have tried lifter free and thicker and thinker oil but can not get rid of noise.. (ie typical noise on start up than again any time after comes and goes). but have bit the bullet and decided to replace lifters.. said to be a big job on the ls1's because you have to take of the heads. while the heads are off i thought i should throw in a mild cam... so question is
a) what is a mild cam i should put in, just a little more lumper than stock
b) what lifters do i need
c) do i or should i replace anything else while the heads are off?

crow cam recommended

more like try camtech, comp xer or LSL profiles, the LS1 heads need decent lift to perform well

...crow are **** and c.o.m.e don't utilize enough lift on their cams imo

the comp 273 looks a bit aggressive compared to the crow cam.. ive been told time and time again that crow cam arnt that crash hot. but using as a bench mark for Duration/agressive stage 1 2 3

never buy anything that has "stages" - massive fail

Also look into Howards cams they are good too.

I just had a Howard cam and lifter package done by LSX tuning at Marrickville, can not recommend Girch highly enough. Only problem is now I don't want to get out of my car!!!
