Googlebot?

Ok this is probably a very stupid question but I dunno a lot about computers and the like......

Everytime I see the list of members online I see googlebot, wtf is googlebot?

I know googles a search engine and bot short 4 robot... but why is there a robotic search engine in this forum lol

I think it is Googles search 'spider' that crawls the site to help index it in it's search database!

But don't take that for Gospel brother!

Yep MYSS is spot on, basically the bot floats around on the site to gather new information for it search indexes.

In simply terms when you do a search for something, let's say vn+commodore+faults in a google window it searches it's nice sized database for any records and lists the appropriate sites.
