Are the handling issues just the slower cars or all cars. GTA has NEVER been a car sim, just the faster cars tend to slop less and be firmer on slides. I will wait for a PC version. The one thing about GTA so far is not having a personal keeper car that you can mod. That would be awesome.
After playing it considerably today, the car handling actually isn't all that bad. You get used to it, like anything new.
Although theres a car that looks like the modern Mini Cooper that spins out of control around corners very easily, great fun hahaha.
You can mod cars a little bit and you can 'keep' them. You just take it back to your 'home' where you save the game by sleeping on the bed, and park it in the garage. It's then always there unless you leave it somewhere else and save the game without it in the garage.
You can even add coloured tyre smoke.
Like you said it's never going to be a car sim like Grand Turismo, so don't expect those sorts of car mods. :spot on:
It's complete **** though that the iFruit app(you'll understand when you get told about it near the start of the game) is only available on Itunes and "coming soon" for Andriods..
And there's a strong chance that DLC will be offered. Hopefully this time it's more then just expansions like GTA4, and there's a variety of new stuff.
