Only when the cats are breaking up anyway.

A perfectly fine and functioning cat won't affect the output very much at all.

Your car and your mates car only makes 224rwkw stock. So if he said hes getting 320rwkw he must have some work done to it and thats massive $$$..

I cant see anyone spending all that money doing work to a car to gain and extra 100+ rwkw and then bashing out his cat with a broom stick and then it miraculously gaining and extra 30rwkw...lol

Iv got 330 rwkw lol

No point, really, my mate did his, and found the honey comb kept crumbling inside, and was only pulling 320kw then he gut it all out now has 350

In your first post you asked if anyone's done it. Now you say your mates done it and gained 10% power increase? Doesn't make much sense champ.
Id have to agree with what others have said. From what I understand it would sound crap, no power gain (or even losing power), and highly illegal. Not ideal for a road car

Any chance that you and your mate happen to use the same garage for dyno runs?

I'm seeing some happy dyno figures floating around in this thread.

Either way, if you already ahve 100cpsi cats to you will acheive nothing gutting them.

As previously stated... dyno sheets are not the most reliable measure. For example, put the same car on a mainline and a dynamics dyno you can expect a 10rwkw difference. The dynamics being teh happier of the two.

Just saying. ;)

Anyway, off topic.

Gut cats = bad and silly in your case as you already have high flow. :)
