the transmission would take 15mins to go into drive (done over 600 thou) .... only took me a 5 min warm up to go into reverse.

dude wtf, 600 thou is nothing! My old gearbox got rebuilt as a precaution at 500,000, wasn't really that much wrong with it

Didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Drove it for anouther 120 thou , and the tranmission "never" missed a beat, never a slip or a wrong gear change . She just liked to be warmed up for the the first drive of the day. And no bastard was going anywhere until it was ready. It was a 12th-month-89, with a shagged thermostat at the back of the engine, EVERYTHING had a leak or was about to fall off and the rego due it was time to retire and live on in other cars :undead:
