Series 2 has to have Red coolant,
My advise is to remove the green coolant as this is not for that model.
Green coolant is corrosive on alloy engines and can do a heap of damage.
Dump it and give it a good flush with clean water.
And purchase a bottle of nulon red coolant that is compatable for your car, Supercheap has it at a reasonable price,
Where they have a big sale on at the moment.

Agree with the above. Remove it promptly and fill with red. I use the Nulon red, and 50/50 it with distilled water.
We have been over this green in VEs so many times here.
Who the hell does NOT follow the books that came with the cars?
It really has got me tossed.

Yes! i do believe it was suppose to be red.
Im trying to get to the bottom of this painful and costly situation.
This vehicle was ordered in 2009, delivered 2/2010. Trying to locate its source, thought possibly a mistake made at factory with a batch?
Was serviced by Holden for 5yrs 9mths and according to service history coolant never changed, but the coolant now light red in radiator. No mention of wrong coolant either!
Only says "Check all Fluids Levels and Topped up as required" no indication of colour or product.

So ill leave this out there and maybe someone has a similar story!

Cheers

1991 VN Wagon..2012 VE Sportwagon.
I've seen this when looking at cars going up for auction, don't know how it happens or who would do it.
Needs flushing with the heater on full bore, filled with red then driven for a week, then flushed again and refilled.

The recon the reason why they put Green in,
Because its was called "Anti Freeze/Anti Boil" years ago, so some people have it in their mind that its the best, because it will stop it from boiling, and freezing when they go to the snow.
Because that's what it WAS called years ago, before Red Coolant was required.
