Pretty much i bought this car for under 800 bucks. so im not too fussed about it. plans are to clean it up and make it run the best i possibly can without spending big bucks and drive it to and from work to save fuel and the kays on the caprice.

Well i said it was going to be a budget build so here is the brake down on exactly what ive spent on the car

* $ 65.00 Level 3 Cluster and Switchblock
* $ 50.00 Greenfoam Tune

Total so far: $130.00

any comments on fuel ecomony are welcomed. im going to install a level 3 cluster so i can monitor my fuel usage etc. as atm i dont even have a tacho.

also comments on weight that can be removed. without losing functionality are welcomed. hozy greenfoam morton im talking to you guys :idea3:

Very nice for $400 mate! Time to get the spray cans out methinks:
- Gloss Black Bumpers
- Gloss Black garnish
- White letters on tyres???
- Colour coded grille
- Paint ALL wheels silver
- White sill parts
- Debadged!

Then the only sound deading I can think of is under the carpet in the cabin, and mabye in the boot...

Still very nice! will be watching this one!

Well so far I have cleaned out the boot and changed the rear garnish to a black one. Got all the wheels off and it's sitting on stands next to my house. I'll work on it over this weekend and next week then take it for rego. Plans are to remove all the interior. Remove the sound deadner. Clean the interior then replace it. Paint a whole bunch of it black. Maybe different wheels although I like the stickies on it. Replace the ateeringwheel with a vr one. And whatever else I can think of.

Yesterday I fitted an airbox with a fresh filter and also changed the fuel filter. With a bit of luck today I can pull the throttle body off and give it a good clean up/ mod it to open 100%. Also going to pressure wash the underneath to clean it up. So I can spot any leaks etc. But it Looks pretty clean under there for a 20 year old car.
