HDMI cable

Hello, So i've been watching NBA games off the laptop through to the tv with a HDMI cable. Just recently it has started to lag when watching it, at first I thought our shitty internet but when I unplug the cable and just watch it off the laptop it works no dramas... Before you say just watch it on laptop, Tv is better.

So my questions are, is my hdmi cable due for the bin? Can it be fixed? and is it even possible it is the cable making it lag?

or try testing with a different tv?
im guessing it hasnt done it all the time or you have only just started to notice it now?

I don't think a HDMI cable could cause lag, maybe re-boot the lap top and try again.

Laptop probably can't output the file/video fast enough

agree with tray i had a similar issue with my onboard hdmi not being able to cope with 1080i playback got a dedicated graphics card in it and it copes fine

As above, what's the laptop? More importantly, what's its VGA processor?

lol, no clue on laptop specs, it's an acer something the sticker came off haha. It was playing them fine when I first started doing it, but your probably right it's only a cheap 500 buck laptop
