Today I had my pacemaker headers fitted to my ecotec vs, however I have a few problems I've noticed once I got home.

1. When I got home I noticed the car was running very hot, so I opened the bonnet and saw the headers glowing red :( (They're supposed to be heat coated to 1270 degrees celcius!

2. My mate said that I could expect atleast 20 extra flywheel kW's, It feels like nothing has changed, whats a realistic power gain?

FYI, The headers are running to a 2.5" redback single pip with high flow redback cat.

Cheers

Was he coating on the Paccies the blue one or the shiny silver.
The Blue coating is just a heat proof paint where as the shiny silver finish is ceramic coating.

Sounds like you have a blocked exhaust or something else is very wrong.

Ps. Anybody claiming 20 fwkw increase on a ecotech has their hand on it

Something is seriously amiss. It would be running very lean to make the headers glow red, I think a vacuum line has been disconnected and not been put back on.

didnt notice a differance in heat with my headers and ive never seen mine glow and i run my car pretty bloody hard.

20fwkw is pretty far fetched, if i was to estimate id say headers + 2.5inch cat back + CAI gave me 3-5 kw at the wheels. barely noticable.
