2007 ve ss 6.0 litre
for the life of me cant get the heat shields off the spark plugs got a set off plugs to put in cant get the bloody leads out have tried everything i have thought of as well as skinning my hands,engine l98 commodore ve anybody got any ideas they can think of,not much room to play aroung in the engine bay very tight spots.

Are you trying to get the heat sheilds off or just the lead off the plug.
The original heat sheilds have a piece of heat proof sticky paper inside them.

trying the get the heat shield off so i can get the sparks plugs out the leads wont come off do i take the leads out of the shield first or do they come off in one piece[i.s heat shield ind lead ]

You need to rotate them left and right and wiggle them off. They are a bastard but will eventually come off. Don't pull on the lead though, I know how tempting this can be.

to late just snapped number 7 lead they seem to put some sort of red heat resin or something inside the heat shield,does anyone know if holden sell the leads separately

Ex mechanic damaged mine and tried to palm the damage for me to pay
