Hey guys

The heater dosent seam to get "hot" anymore at most it really only gets warm. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Also the heating/cooling fan switch only works on no.3&4. I thinks there's a module that controls it(think it's called the fan speed resistor ) Dose anyone if that's right? If so is it under the the plastic cover under the windscreen wipers?

If that's not rite plz let me know what it could be.

Cheers.

The heater being warm only may be a stuck heater tap, a sticking thermostat or the air mix door (behind/under the dash) stuck or broken.

There's a How To on the fan speed resistor including an option to replace just the broken resistor wires.

You haven't replaced your thermostat with a lower temp one have you? I have done that to my car and the heater doesn't get hot.

Or have you had the HVAC unit out of the car recently? It's easy to mess up the alignment of the heater tap control rod on the heater temp dial.

Thanks guys I'll have to pull the speed resistor out this weekend.
Ill have a look at the "how to" as well.

I haven't changed the thermostat, I'm not sure what the HVAC is so I'm don't know lol

I replaced the radiator and I think it's the heater tap with a 2nd hand one a mate had (it leaks a touch). I did that about 8 months ago.
The cars a V8.

Cheers
