yer, i think tyre pressure could b a cause, because ive noticed that it isnt so bad early in the morning or late at nigth when the tyres would b a bit colder...still gonna go to pedders and double check everything is alrite tho!

Cheers

If it was bump-steer it would have been happening before the 17" rims were put on. As I said before, drop the pressure. Do this before going to Pedders because they may talk you into something you really don't want/need.
Letting the air out will cost zilch, zero, nil.
Go to a steering/suspension specialist and you will be like butter in their hands.
But as always, the choice is yours. Good Luck.

correct me if im wrong but i read somewhere that certain tyres on certain cars tend to tramline (follow the bumps and grooves in the road) makes it feel like its wondering all over the road....like i said could be wrong ?

yer, its definitely tram lining as u described, it goes off in all directions depending on the bumps and grooves of the road, im gonna lower the pressure tonite, i have a feeling its goin to lessen the frequency of this happening, but will still happen, but who knows! i'll post back tommoz!!

2005 VZ SV6, with 19' VY Maloo Mags
Coz the tyres ar wider

my car done/does the same thing you guys are talking about, i got all my stuff checked out steering links suspension so on and so on, pumped tyres deflated tyres and nothing worked. thats the way it is because you have a wider tyre on there now it covers more of the road surface so now your really gonna know how smooth a road surface is.

even 2 of my mates do that as well and one of them have a VY Commo. and the other has a VP.

our wheels are all 18" and all do the same thing. so i prob wouldnt be in to much of a hurry to get it checkeced out, you can always wait till your next service when they check everything or just as em to check all sus bushes and stuff,

I have fitted a set of VZ SV6 rims (17") to my VY berlina and have never felt this "tram lining" the car tracks as good as it did with the old rims, so I dodnt think any car should do this, never happened with my VS Calais either and that had 18's on it and was lowered, once again tracked dead straight, never wanted to steer its self, personally I would try and get rid of this problem, either by playing with tyre pressures (I always have run 38 psi in the front and rear, exept with a load and then I push the rears to 40 psi) or get it checked out buy some one. Its not normal, SV6's, SS's and Club sports with rims from 17"-19" dont do this, so yours shouldnt either.

well ive deflated the tyres last nite to 32PSi, and it is driving considerably better. I can still feel it sumtimes but it is much less common and is bearable. I may go to pedders next week and get their safety check done, but we'll see lol.
Thanks.
