Dont think so

You need a VP series 1 or 2.. Which ever your engine is.

AND! I recommend, buying it new.. Not a 2nd hand from the wreckers!

****You could pick one up from an Auto-parts store (supercheap/autobarn/repco/bursons/etc).

VP seriesI and seriesII? Hmm, new to me.

OP, yes a VN seriesI engine has the coolant pipe that runs down the drivers side along the top of the headers. (thermostat housing at the rear of the motor)

SeriesII has the thermostat housing at the front of the motor

VN/VP/VR seriesII fuel regs will ALL be the same.

While your changing the reg, I'd give it a decent service too. (plugs, leads, fuel/oil and air filters, and clean or replace the TPS and IAC sensors while your at it)

Cheers.

I went down to the wreckers and pulled them out of VN and VP's till i found one that had a long tube at the bottom like Dumster's photo and it runs great, stuff spending $150 on that little tin thing, mine was free because i just stuck it in my pocket.
