Na Holden is inline 6 and Ford is V6. Where did you get your information from?

This thread was stupid until the comments about the Holden being a straight 6 and the Ford being a v6.

Now it's stupid to the power of *facepalm*

In reply to OP, take it to the track and find out. And what do you mean there is alot of competition between you and your mate? There is no such thing as competative 'talking about racing speculating on who would win'.

As it has been stated, the type and power of the car isn't the only variable in a drag race. Driver skills, transmission type, driver skill, tyre traction, track conditions all play a part.

Cheers,

Get in the ute
take it to your local track.. and get some timed, proper runs under your belts :)

That way there are no excuses for the loser ! (hopefully your mate)

Plus you get to race for a good distance so the winner will be well and truly clear...

It's a good night out - you get to see plenty of good cars, and hopefully pick up a few driving skills out of it. Best of all - you'll be supporting drag racing (not street racing), rather than supporting the beer'o'clock fund of your local government employees when you get done ;)

as for your question - if they're both stockers, it will be much of a muchness - both auto? manual? - take as much weight as you can out of your car before you race him. You'll probably find that you'll get him on take off, and he'll catch up and pass further down the track.
