Hi everyone, I drove my son to school today with no problems.
Until I was on my way home I felt something hit my foot as I was Driving.
When I got home I left the car running and had a look, it was my BCM that had come loose of it's support and was just hanging there.
I tried to push it back up on it's support but then the car stopped, and started displaying a serv error on the dash. I tried to check the
codes but this time it wouldn't let me. I was able to check codes prior to this problem. (I tried checking it with the pins in 5 and 6 terminals).

So I inspected the BCM properly and found a pink & black wire that was exposed, so it must have touched a metal part and sparked.
I tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, But that didn't work. I also tried removing fuses etc.

Everything turns on alright it just won't start I'm guessing it's the BCM.
The thing is I can open and close the doors with the key and also open the boot.

Any help is much appreciated.

there is a panel under the steering column, behind this panel is a fuse box
carefully check/replace fuse 14 or fuse 26

Thank you lout for the prompt reply, I will investigate this fuse box under the steering column.
I seriously hope that fixes my problem.

Thanks again

Thank you lout once again. When I found the fuse for number 14 I
think it was (Engine Cont) it was blown. I'm going to replace it and hopefully the car starts.

Just an update!

Thanks a bunch Lout! I found a spare fuse in the compartment under the steering column.
Once I plugged that into the number 14 fuse spot, the car started.

I'm going to donate to this awesome forum. It saved me perhaps a couple hundred at least.

Please keep up the great work Lout. You the man! And also to all the other great helpers out there.

Best Regards.
