help!!! what is this noise?

hey guys, i hope you can help me out with this one! my vr in the last week has been making a clicking/clacking sound, it seems to be coming from the engine bay. it happens while driving between 40kmh and 60kmh. Anything below or above the noise dies away. Also it only happens when the engine has walmed up and on idle it seems fine!!! do you have any ideas on what it could be. plz help.. cheers daniel

hmm, cable tie around the axle?...nah, im just messing around, lol.
thats pretty weird though, only hearing it between 40-60k/hr...next time you get the engine up to temperature, pop the bonnet and see if anything looks to be moving unnaturally around the serpentine (sp?) belt, it could be the water pump or a pulley that has too much movement once warm.
that doesnt explain why it only does it between 40-60k/hr, but thats a start.

thanks mate il check that out. its at its loudest between those speeds, mainly when slowing down. Can anyone else help me or have any suggestions.....
