Help! Will a vt auto transmission fit into Vy??

Hello

Recently my vy v6 03 auto transmission **** itself & i bought a vt transmission. My question is, will the Vt fit straight into the Vy with no problems? Is there any wiring or anything different that i will need to change etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated

As long as its from a V6 than it will fit.

You Need to Check the Build Number on both Transmissions, For Example, If the VY trans says 3HFD and the VT Trans says 8HFD is should be fine, The First Number tells you what year, the 3 is 2003, the 8 means 1998. The Last 3 letters are the model. They have different shift solenoids etc in them. I Never got a real straight answer on if it would work or not, i have a VT trans here i bought cheap so after lots of research thats about as much as i know lol Also Check the Pins for the trans if its a 12 or 13 pin connector.
Image is not the same trans but the sticker means the same. I got this info from a GM Trans Tech in the states.

(X)HND and (X)HFD and both compatible with each other. Just different torque converter stall speeds.

Well we are at stage 1, old one out, vt is about to go in... Well we hope!
