Hey all,

I searched the forums and cant seem to find an answer so heres my issue.
Am installing a pioneer deh-p7550(the older model not this years /last years one) into a vx ss series 1.
*Have wired the yellow power wire of headunit to the orange/black(not orange/white for some reason) power wire from car.
*Red accessories wire to yellow accessories wire of car
*Black to Black/white earth wire (earth is earthed)
*Blue wire from head unit is a remote wire for amp connection
*Have checked fuses

The head unit just wont seem to come on. Do i need to connect an illumination wire? Have i missed something? Very frustrating? Do i need to use the yellow/red constant 12v output for something before the head unit will turn on? Very frustrated!

Thx in advance for any help

well you do know the car need to be turned on to start or ACC before the h/u comes on? just something simple.
use a dmm to test the power wires aswell.

Something else that's easy to overlook is the small blade fuse at the back of the unit...

we really cant tell you much until you use a multimeter (dmm) to check that theres 12V on all those wires
