Where exactly did you earth the purple wire? To the black wire or to the chassis? It's gotta be the chassis.

i brought the same sorta leads for my VZ, had issues too, so i got onto supplier from ebay, turned out to be a dodgy black box which they replaced. as long as you get right vehicle and stereo leads it should be plug n play no extra BS

Yeah earthed to chassis. Ill get onto supplier they probly wont want it back seeing as ive now spliced wires

They just need to swap the box. Not the harness. If you call Aerpro, they tell you to do the same thing

Aw well thats alright means I can leave it all hooked up and just swap once it turns up.

Certainly can... Headunit adaptor first, then power it up.

Ok well turns out this particular headunit needs to be programmed to run the adapter. Took a few seconds and all good! The guy also recommend ed to add the second earth which id already done anyway. So thanks fir the help guys!
