Thanks.

Am I wiring it wrong or something? Parker lights and hi beams still work, but not the lows with HID.

Cheers

The red and the black that go into the factory plug need to be reversed.

Edit:
Forget it.
Yeah I remember now.
I had to reverse the black and white on mine when I had them.

Just a word of warning though.
It looks like you are putting them in a factory housing......Naughty Naughty.
They have to go into projector housings to be legal.

Awesome, I just had to rotate the HID's plug counter clockwise and it worked.

Yes that is a factory headlight, they aren't staying in there either, I just want to see how they look. Hopefully have VE SV6 by the end of month, that will be the HIDs new home.

Thanks for the help!

Theoretically, not that I give a ****... they'll be illegal in the VE also. Not only are they supposed to be projector housing, but also self leveling and self washing lenses. apparently.

Just a quick question, is the ballast supposed to making a quiet whining sound while the HID light in running?

Also, did I plug it in correctly by just rotating the HID plug to fit into the standard headlight plug? Or what I supposed to actually swap the wire therminals in the plug over?

They do turn on but don't seem very bright, and the whining sounds coming from TH ballast seems odd too.

Cheers

Yes, they make a very high pitched whistle. This is normal operation. Not everyone can hear it because it's so high. You have good hearing ;)
So long as the wiring was reversed, all is good. Doesn't matter where you did it in this instance.
HIDs always take time to heat up on initial start up. More so for their VERY FIRST power up. Secondly, because their temperature is so close to that of the sun, during the day, it's hard to tell if they are on or not.

Awesome mate, thanks for your help!

Just for clarification in case anybody knows:

RED+ goes into PINK/blue on factory plug
BLACK- goes into PINK/white on factory plug

Does this sound correct? I think I had it wired wrong at first because when I turned low beam on, high beam globe would half light up. Then if I started the car, the incorrectly wired HID would turn off untill I flicked the headlight switch back and forth, then it would turn on again.

Video of what I am talking about.
