Well if it hasn’t been done and it lets go, they’ll have a sizeable warranty claim on their hands.
Or consider it a major fault if rockers fail and return the car for a full purchase price refund (as is ones right in law). Then go out and buy the same vehicle at the discounted prices now on offer.

MSE advertised for ~$62K Drive Away is the lowet i've seen yet out of the 32 dealers i have been periodically checking.

Historic availability from these 32 dealers are as follows:

checked 22Nov2017 - 59 motorsport & 6 directors
checked 10Dec2017 - 52 motorsport & 8 directors
checked 19Dec2017 - 48 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 29Dec2017 - 46 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 03Jan2018 - 47 motorsport & 8 directors
checked 08Jan2018 - 46 motorsport & 8 directors
checked 18Jan2018 - 44 motorsport & 9 directors
checked 26Jan2018 - 42 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 01Feb2018 - 42 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 14Feb2018 - 41 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 17Feb2018 - 39 motorsport & 7 directors
checked 19Mar2018 - 32 motorsport & 4 directors
checked 07Apr2018 - 33 motorsport & 5 directors
checked 25Apr2018 - 29 motorsport & 6 directors

And this was after being told all were sold out early to mid 2017...

Hi

How does the stock level of Directors increase after 19th of March 2018 when the last one was built several months before 2017 ended?

I'd say the dealers were playing rather loose with the truth as they weren't really sold out. Rather, the buggers may have ben hiding them around the back thinking they'd be worth a fortune down the line...

Only the dealers know the truth but i don't think they couldn't lie straight in bed if their life depends on it...

Insurance update: Got my renewal notice with Shannons. After calling them and complaining and getting a small discount, I'm still up for $2230. This isn't agreed value anymore but valued at $67k (don't forget I spent $8000 on mods including 385kw pack and Opticoat). Before I complained my premium was actually higher than last year, despite the value of the car dropping from $80k agreed to $67k valued. I asked how that was possible and was told that premiums go up as insurance gets more expensive. I mentioned for my SV6 my insurance went down every year as the value of the car went down and the guy on the phone seemed genuinely surprised. I'm 33, perfect history, no claims, car isn't a daily and is garaged at home and at work, I live and work in an affluent area with much nice cars. Am I getting taken for a ride?

I'm going to look at alternatives. Who else should I seek a quote from that will insure a modified V8?

Hi

That sucks! I pay $700.50 with RACV with an Agreed Value of $75,000.

My excess is $2,000 as I opted for the highest excess that gives me the lowest premium.

Can't help you with the insurance thing but do you think the opticoat has made a difference . I heard that it does effect how a car can be repaired .
How's the opticoat going in general anyway . Was thinking about it as well .

Hi Mate
We’re also with RACV , it’s through our business , no mods though , we have a few policies with them and have had for many years , $713.00 , $80,000 , $700 excess

Thank you to everyone but I'm pretty sure the main bunch (RACV, AAMI etc) don't insure modified cars, so hearing about you paying $700 isn't helpful (actually makes my premium feel worse).

Opticoat is great to keep the car clean and looking shiny and new, I just foam it and spray it, I've never actually touched it with my hand. Opticoat isn't very good for damage though. In retrospect I should have also gotten a layer of PPF on the front facing surfaces to provide more paint chip protection but lesson learnt. I would highly recommend Opticoat for how easy it makes cleaning and the look.
